Time to choose, scrap, abandon, retake, and finish
After so many comments asking for a comic, I thought I should give you something. You've been great with me.
First of all, YES, I'm planning to release something in the first week of June if possible, and it's a BIG one. I still haven't decided if I should release it in one chapter a week basis or one huge, gigantic file with hundreds of pages.
No, it's not Jinkxed 2, that comic may never be done as it doesn't even have a script, and I don't think I can improve the original that much.Plus, it would probably take me a full year to make.
Now, it's time for good; and not-so-good news.
First, he not-so-good news...
I know May has been a slow month around here: I took the time needed to bring order to the chaos of my comics projects. I have this little attention disorder, and I tend to start 4 things at the same time. Now where was I? Oh right, sadly that means cancelling some works in progress. Some of them were started in 2011!
It was a sad month, as I had nice ideas and expectations, but those comics did not satyisfy me for several reasons
Now, yes, The Good News!
I'm going to release them anyway as cancelled comics! I spent many hours working on them and they're not good just using space on my hard drive, so from time to time you'll see something like this:

And you'll get something like half a comic.
Who knows, maybe I even make a post with some random images and set up apoll so you can choose wich unfinished comic should be released first.

First of all, i'm happy we hearing from you again :D releasing some cancelled comics is really nice , espically in those time, i trust you and your talent that they wont be bad at all xD any plans to release something this month :D ?

DeleteYES! YES! This wasn't particularly bad news. We all have our priorities and you obviously have yours. You can't finish all your projects and I, like many others, will be glad to see what you have made regardless. We are all big fans of your work and I, for one am really excited for the release of these works. Keep up the great work.

ReplyDeleteMay I ask what programs you use for creating your comics? And what are the best programs? Is it like Daz, poser or ... I would like to know it from the best, which in my opinion is you. Keep up the great work *thumbs up*
I use DAZ Studio. There's also Poser. I think nowadays most people who do 3D comics uses DAZ, it's very easy to learn, runs well in any computer; Poser it's more pro-like and less easier.

I almost think that you'd be better off using cancelled comics as material for one-off sequences.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree with you, an I did that in VipComics #3, but most cancelled comics are incomplete, or miss entire parts; on top of that, some files refure to load (they're from my older PC and something is always missing while loading)

ReplyDeleteNah, no donations needed, I do this for free, besides I don't trust myself: I'm affraid if I start charging and it goes well, I'll get greedy and start making Premium comics and stuff like that, and I'll be forced to spend more time checking that no one is publishing them for free in 4chan or anywhere else

ReplyDeleteI don't see any bad news here. New comics from you is always good news. As for the canceled comics i would say you should release them. The worst that can happen are hater comments and who knows? maybe some people will give you ideas on how to continue it or on how to use it as a base for new comics.
ReplyDeleteAs for Jinxed 2... i don't think it should be an improvement at all. I personally am looking forward to what will happen to Tiny and the guys that got their Jinxed invitation on your Remote Control Comic. And if i may suggest, why don't you make a new thread and collect some ideas for the punishments at the end of the round. Then maybe let people help you with an order in which the punishments should occur and then improvise on what happens between as you will probably have to change the behaviour of the contestants depending on what punishment they recieved. If i may suggest on some punishments in case you start it somewhen in the future how about more clothing restrictions this time? Things like "Freaks out when wearing more than one layer of clothes at the same time" which would result in the contestant being forced to wear either only underwear or no underwear at all. Or things like a body shrinking to a very petite frame maybe even more so than you did with tiny.
I must admit you have great ideas. Both for the story and for gathering ideas for it.

Those are good news! you should release a chapter each week, so we don't have to wait so much until the next comic, and those of us who are not native english speakers will not get tired reading hundreds of pages

DeleteLamentablemente no he hecho ninguno en español... Y no creo que haga alguno, o a lo sumo alguna edicion futura de VipComics. Es realmente agotador poner los globitos de voz y tipear, encuadrarlos, etc.
